Academic Resources

Here is a list of academic resources available to assist you in your work at Georgia Tech:

  • Center for Teaching and Learning. Provides resources ranging from the Teaching Handbook to learning technology support. 
  • Course Catalog. Georgia Tech's official course catalog. 
  • Course Instructor Opinion Survey (CIOS). The Institutewide survey that students complete to provide feedback about their instructors. Administered by the Center for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning. 
  • Dean of Students. Home to resources ranging from student academic grievance procedures to the Institute's referral form (for if you're concerned about a student).  
  • FERPA. Information in Georgia Tech's catalog about the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act. 
  • Graduate Education. A unit in the Office of the Vice Provost for Graduate and Postdoctoral Education that supports graduate education at Georgia Tech. 
  • Grade Entry. Portion of the Registrar's website where you can find grading information and log in to the grade entry section. 
  • Institutional Research Board. If you will enroll Georgia Tech employees or students in a research study, you need to confirm with the Office of Research Integrity Assurance whether the Georgia Tech Institutional Review Board should review and approve your work prior to starting it.
  • Library. Georgia Tech's main library, which offers much more than just books.
  • Mutual Expectations Document (PDF). This document, approved by both the Graduate Student Government Association and Georgia Tech's Faculty Governance, articulates key contributions that advisors and advisees should make to their relationship to ensure success for both parties.
  • Office of the President. The main website for information about Georgia Tech's President, Ángel Cabrera.
  • Office of the Provost. The main website for information about Georgia Tech's Provost, Rafael L. Bras. 
  • Postdoctoral Services. A unit in the Office of the Vice Provost for Graduate and Postdoctoral Education that supports postdoctoral fellows at Georgia Tech. 
  • Research Portal. Home to a variety of resources to make being a researcher easier, including funding, proposal preparation, and managing an award information. 
  • Responsible Conduct of Research Requirement. The Georgia Tech Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) Compliance Policy applies to certain categories of undergraduate students, graduate students, and postdoctoral researchers funded by various awards. 
  • Registrar. Handles anything related to course registration to student records to grading information.
  • SMARTech. Contains more than 40,000 scholarly works, including more than 18,000 Georgia Tech theses and dissertations. 
  • University System of Georgia Faculty Resource Page. Resources to assist with everything from teaching and learning to faculty development.
