Fall 2019 NanoFANS Forum Focusing on “Medical Electronics (Flexible & Wearable)”

The Fall 2019 NANOFANS (Focusing on Advanced Nanobio Systems) Forum meeting will be held on October 10, 2019 (Thursday) from 11 AM – 2:30 PM at the Marcus Nanotechnology Building, Georgia Tech-Institute for Electronics & Nanotechnology (GT-IEN). You are cordially invited.  A box lunch is also included at no cost to the participants.

The focus of this event will be “Medical Electronics (Flexible & Wearable).” Flexible & Wearable Medical electronics is a fast-emerging field in healthcare. The electronics integrated with stretchable/bendable structures and various microsensors that monitor the temperature, pressure, sweat, bioelectricity, body hydration, etc., have a wide range of applications in the human healthcare sector. Wearable technology in healthcare includes electronic devices that consumers can wear and are designed to collect the data of users' personal health.

We are fortunate to have Dr. Suresh Sitaraman (Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Tech), Dr. W. Hong Yeo (Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Tech), Dr. Muneeb Zia (Research Engineer at Georgia Tech), Dr. Bryce Chung (Research Engineer at Emory University), and Dr. Omer Inan (Professor of Electrical & Computer Engineering at Georgia Tech) speak to us on their current research topics in the area of “Flexible & Wearable Medical Electronics.”

After the talks, a tour of the state-of-the-art Georgia Tech-IEN Cleanrooms & labs will be organized to the interested participants. Please let us know if you are interested in taking a tour.
